Surrounding Areas

Oceanside & Carlsbad

Oceanside is a true SoCal beach town with a tangible laid-back vibe. The city boasts spectacular year-round weather, gorgeous beaches, an historic wooden pier, quaint New England-style harbor, and charming bungalow neighborhoods.

O’side (as locals affectionately call it) is a destination of discovery where you can explore everything from awe-inspiring sea life through exciting ocean adventures, California history at the “King of Missions,” and surf culture at the California Surf Museum. As a playful and diverse destination, we value personal expression and originality, inviting you to play in a real SoCal beach town and Respect the O’riginals.

Centrally located in the heart of Southern California, Oceanside is perfectly situated between San Diego and Los Angeles, making it easy to visit family-favorite attractions such as LEGOLAND California Resort, Disneyland California Resort, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo.

Rainbow & Fallbrook

Two small towns that surround Highway 15 on the way from San Diego to Temecula. Both are known for their wide-open spaces, avocado farms and rolling hills that are perfect for family farms and hidden gems.

Warner Springs

A very small, unincorporated community in Eastern San Diego County, Warner Springs is famous for its gliding opportunities due to the topography of the Peninsular Ranges in the area. Absolutely worth a drive through either on your way up to Temecula from San Diego or vice versa, to see a unique part of Southern California’s character.

Palm Springs

A sprawling and ever growing desert community filled with live entertainment, five star golf courses like Indian Canyons Golf Resort, and plenty of shopping in downtown Palm Springs. Only one hour and five minutes from Temecula Valley.

Idyllwild

Idyllwild is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains. Set among tall pines, sweet-smelling cedars and Legendary rocks. The town has kept its "small town" atmosphere. Locally owned shops and restaurants are all you will find here. Come and experience the peace and quiet of Idyllwild. If you are ready to get away from the traffic jams, or the noisy city life, this is the town for you. Idyllwild has perfect day hikes for the quick weekend hike, as well as the high country for the longer "overnight" hiking journeys.
